Hell, what a lot of people don't realize, or worse, maybe they do, is that shopping for and achieving items of a material nature releases hormones in our bodies that make us happy, euphoric even. However, like a drug, there is always that coming down phase, a crash, if you will.
Having someone there is more like having that constant high, that no amount of shopping, and no drug can ever match. I'm glad that you've come out and seen this truth.
