Even though we live just feet off of the pool, I haven't gone to the pool once this year!
Our niece was sick yesterday so we agreed to babysit her today instead of let her get sent to summer camp stuff. She seemed to recover fine and absolutely HAD TO SWIM, so I ended up at the pool.
And you can tell that I haven't seen a pool this year, as I am generally pale. Ha.
Thankfully, my husband cut out of work a tad early to assist me in watching her. She's too energetic for just me.
Something else new, I drove a van for our locations scout for this next block of filming coming up, and I am happy to report that all of our sets have access to running water close by. Yay.
We'll have to have an official snake wrangler on set because, even though garter snakes are harmless, people lose their shit when they see something like this little guy. Found him at one of the locations.
Other than that, very little is new. I made some tasty meals this week, and I am always proud of my food.
I made some veal scallopini with a brown butter and caper sauce.
And I made a smoked Gouda, green onion, and spinach quiche as the main dish in a breakfast for dinner menu. Always delicious.
Tonight, there was no cooking for me. Mike and I went to get Mexican food, drank a bit of tequila, and now I'm going to wash off this chlorine and sit in a bath. Excellent day.
