When in I was in 8th grade, I had a huge crush on my history teacher/homeroom teacher/volleyball coach. Everyone except my friend Sara, who also shared my love for him, thought I was weird. On the night before his 23rd birthday, Sara and I scrounged large amounts of loose change and went to the gas station that was by her old house. We bought him gum, candy, pretzels, snack crackers, and orange juice. We wrapped all of his gifts in baby shower wrapping paper because we couldn't find any "regular" wrapping paper. We threw everything in a bag (except for the orange juice which was wrapped with a bow and placed in my fridge overnight) and brought it to school the next day. And I will never forget how sweet he was as he opened our lame edible gifts and thanked us for each one. He told us that we would always be his favorite students. And he will always be my favorite teacher.
Jessica and I worked on our music video tonight. We have a lot of nifty ideas, but on camera, they just look so cheesily dramatic. Watching us pretend to be serious and morbid just conjures nonstop laughter... and I'm sure everyone who watches it will think we're complete morons. And they'll be 100% correct.
I fell asleep on the floor today in Current Events. It was cold and uncomfortable and I have no idea why the hell I did that.
Yesterday I volunteered for the John Kerry campaign in my town. I called citizens that were on a list and polled them as to who they were voting for in the upcoming election. To those supporting Kerry, I gave a huge WOOT and asked if they wanted to volunteer on election day. To those supporting Bush, I asked if they wanted to hear some information regarding the opposing side. And some did. And some refused to. And some just hung up. And some never answered the phone so they received voice mail messages instead. But this one lady totally went off on a three-minute-nonstop tangent as to why she resents Kerry. I didn't say anything, I just sat there holding the phone out three feet in front of me as she gabbed on and on and didn't even stop to take a breath. Some people are radical, and that scares me. And out of about 45 people I called, I got five John Kerry supporters. That also scares me. I think I'm volunteering at the board of elections tomorrow. Or something like that.
Don't you hate it when you eat something really hot and you burn the roof of your mouth and then some of the skin on the roof of your mouth starts to, like, peel away? Then you have this really annoying itty bitty piece of skin hanging down from the roof of your mouth and you cannot divert your attention from messing with it. That happens to me whenever I eat frozen pizza. It comes out of the oven and looks so good and I get so excited that I don't wait, I just dig right in. Every time. And everytime I regret it. You would think I would learn by now, but no. Pizza just has that effect on me.
In feel that my life desires a change of pace and a change of heart.
