I agree, a mix would be the best exposure to a band with as long and as varied a catalog as the Beatles', but:

1) I only own a few albums (CDs) of theirs myself (sadly, Revolver doesn't happen to be one of them)
2) I would probably go crazy attempting to compile an 80-minute "best of" CD for that band, even if I did own all of their works.

I figured that, in lieu of that option, it might also be valuable (or at least interesting) to him to hear a complete album of theirs from start to finish, rather than a collection of famous songs from different eras. Thanks for your input.

Ha. I admit, I'm behind any technological curve by several years, easily. While I have hardware capable of music (and other) downloads, I don't care to pay for a legal one in this case, and I'm pretty leery of any that could be considered even remotely illegal.

Maybe I'm being unduly paranoid, but music sharing/downloads aren't something I've ever really looked into, and as such I have no idea where to, or how to, search for something safely.

Oh god, that song gives me indigestion. It may be one of the worst songs of all time. Did you see the Something Awful article about it? frown
subrosa:
There are like seventy bands with that name. I used to be in one, and we got a letter from the guy who had the copyright on it saying he'd sue us if we didn't change it. Wonder if those broads bought it from him or are just gonna risk it.

A lefty, huh?

Very impressive. How long is the barrel?

I had to save the above photo onto my hard drive. (Don't worry, you can trust me.) That shot's a framer, for sure. Do it-- she'll be stoked.

By the way, we've all been laughing hysterically for the last week-and-a-half over the Anti-Putin Air Force link. Thanks again.

I'm sick as a dog.

I had a really, really scary experience last night. It was the first time I've ever been afraid since I started working the graveyard shift.

Our store has two doors. The "front" door faces busy NW 63rd, and the "side" door faces the north tail of Portland right before it dead-ends in Lake Hefner. I have always kept the side...

Something like that happened to me once. My (pregnant) co-worker and I were working late at Domino's, and some jackass came in and started threatening us, all crazy-eyed and heroin strong. I threw some flour in his eyes to distract him, and then my co-worker and I got into the office and locked the door while calling 911.

The police, who were stationed not one block away, took TWENTY MINUTES to get there. I have never been so mad.
