So I could totally do Chicago! As most of you know I headed over there yesterday morning with some Kzoo folks and met up with some Chicago folks for some shopping, eating and clubing/barring (word??) Details will come later when I put pictures up (if I can get them to work).
I just got home from a very long train ride and have to be at work in like 7 or 8 hours so a quick update is all you're getting.
I hadn't been to Chicago since I was 8. I had no idea what to really expect but it was awesome. I have been trying to shake the nag at the corners of my mind that I will at some point have to try living in a big city downtown to calm this curiosity. I have tried ignoring it and it doesn't work, being in Chicago this weekend only reafirmed (sp?) this idea. Hence the I could totaly do Chicago statement. So when I called my parents from the train to double check and make sure that my car was at the train station; they reconfirmed that they are headed for Chicago this weekend. So what did I do, asked to get a ride. 5 hours in the car with parents, fairly tolerable.......two and a half days in my new found facination priceless. I figure this way I can wander the city and see some different areas, even though I have no idea where anything is. Kinda easy to learn though....or at least I thought so
Anyway, it was an awsome weekend and I got to meet some new members which was great. Plus see some folks I already know and adore I promise better update later, right now I need some sleep so I can get to work on time tomorrow and see what kind of info I can dig up on my newest idea.
