I walked past a penny on the ground yesterday and thought of my dad
he never walks past money. it's not a jew thing, he just thinks its bad luck
He has found hundreds of dollars just by being really perceptive
We were driving home from work one day and he spotted something and slammed
on the brakes and we turned around and I was all "what? what the hell?" and he said
"shh, don't talk, i have to see something."
he parked and walked out of the car and I was very confused
He walked back into the car and threw something on my lap. it was a black wallet
with something green poking out of the top. barely a quarter of an inch of
green poking out
He said "I saw that tiny bit of green poking out and I said to myself, 'that's gotta be a wallet.' count it, how much is it."
i opened the wallet and i couldn't even count. i was shaking with excitement.
i saw a few hundreds, a few twenties, some tens.
so i slowed down and counted 5 hundred 75 dollars.
we had a nice dinner that night
i was happy
it was fun
that is how my dad is
so i saw a penny yesterday and i walked over it
and i thought "i'm leaving it for you, dad
"
maybe i'm crazy, probably not.
i wish my dad had an online journal that i could point you guys to
he's so awesome, i want to share him with everyone, but at the same time
keep him all to myself.
i feel like i should tell him i love him more.
i miss hugging him
i sent him a yahoo message saying, "I miss you
please come visit soon"
i want him to see my apartment and see how well i'm doing here
i want to go back to jersey and see the place again. i know i was just there
but i want to be there again
i have an idea, time to put it in motion.
