I know what you mean about having a great day at a funeral. It sounds so odd but really, it's a celebration of the life they led, and it should be a good occasion. One of the reasons I want a good old Irish Wake is so that people will be able to come and drink and think of me how I was and not mourn the loss of me but to remember my spirit.
I wish my relationship with my "steps" was as good as yours seems to be with yours. Even though it took you awhile to feel that way. I just know that our "steps" are NOT that way.

Viewing today, funeral tomorrow. I hate the formalities. I got my hair done for this but now it's raining so it was pretty pointless, but we need the rain.
