so my "friend" that was going to help me with the floors no showed today, so i sanded them all myself. One pass with 36 grit, another with 100 grit. then started in on the edges with a belt sander. OMG TIRED, but after 10 hours today...

That's great. I couldn't have done it. I've always been totally incompetent when it came to repairs and renovations. You should be very proud of yourself.
