Ok I'm home... But my guts are still jacked up. "authentic" mexican food sounded like a good idea.

They actually have restaurants in Mexico with the word "authentic" in front of them? That's even worse. That's like McDonalds pacing "Authentic American Fare" on their signs.

If you ever come through again, the GC is the place to be. Also Chiricahua National Forest is freaking awesome. Remember those Looney Toons cartoons where the mountains were thin and there was always a large balanced on top and the coyote would step on it it would fall over and he would plunge to his semi-doom? Those mountains really exist.

I'm not going until this fall or until next spring....I've got 5 books on Japan, 3 on Tokyo, and dozens of language tapes....

I'm really trying to prepare myself so I don't do something considered rude, and speak to the locals smile
