Ok on my way to my boys house tonight, my brakes went out! S-c-a-r-y! I was going about 65mph on rt76 and the car infront of me slowed down, so I stepped to slow down, and the peddle went all the way to the floor!!! AHHHH. I stepped again and it worked fine. My first thought was, "Did I just imagine that?" So I waited a few minutes and stepped again and the peddle went all the way to the floor. OMG. SOOOO for the rest of the ride I drove real far from the car infront of me and pumped my brakes when I needed to stop or slow.(And was fully prepared to grab the E-brake if necessary) I made it here just fine and first thing tomorrow I'm checking the brake fluid. My car? 87' civic HB 4-speed shocked

That happened in my fathers old boat [66Olds] with me as a passenger driving down one of the steepest hills in our area! He was weaving in & out of the telephone poles & onto the sidewalk trying to slow down with me ready to bail out at any moment! He then ended up turning down a sidestreet which was still sloping down [and picking up speed with every second!] untill we got to the next side street which lucky for us was uphill and ended up parking in someones driveway as if we lived there. A boring ending I admit ,but those near death experiences stay with you for life! It might have had something to do with seeing 'GOD' for a brief moment! [Yeah right! But Satan has come a knockin a few times ! More than likely youll need a rebuilt master cylinder. If your old one has lost all its fluid ,the brake line has either sprung a leak or the rotors /brake cylinders are weaping real bad. ps. if your semi-mechanicaly inclined a mastercylinder replacement is a do it yourselfer repair & save a bundle!
