It's time to write about my new cosplay set and tell you more about it!
First of all, I have watched this anime several times in different periods of my life and admired it every time. I love San since my school years and nothing changing here. She's smart brave girl, strong and independent. I think we have to show to our daughters characters like this, not Disney's princess (Сinderella, Little Mermaid, Snow White, Belle). They are not bad and I loved them in my childhood, but this cartoons show wrong values for young girls. But not Princess Mononoke, she's different.
And that's why I was afraid to do this cosplay, I can't imagine her "naked and horny babe". And I put off this idea for a white.
After several years my dear friend @darishka, who prefers to make "sets with idea" suggested to shoot Mononoke for SG. She even made some stuff like mask, ears and necklace. So, I thought IT'S TIME and we began searching other parts of outfit. We found blue dress, earrings and fur. I asked my other friend to help with sewing white apron. Then my boyfriend helped to cut one of my wigs. And we were ready!
We went to the forest outside the city. Since it was summer, it was very hot outside and the sun blinded your eyes. When we were shooting poses on the ground, there was so stuffy that a couple of times it seemed that I was faint. We met a lot of mushroom pickers and people picking berries, so we were a bit nervous (we urgently needed to dress me every time).
We tried to make something sexy, not vulgar and keep the spirit of the anime.
Also, we wanted to shoot a scene with blood on my lips (point where the San tries to save her mother-wolf), but in the rules of the site are asked to refrain from such things. With a little thought, we decided to smear lipstick on my face, as a small reference.
Interesting fact: we realized that lipstick could ruin the shoot (red face), and we had to shoot the set out of order. At first, we did all the nude pictures, then we drew red stripes and finished the beginning of the set.
We spent several days for preparing outfit and one day for shooting, but it worth it! And I proud to show you the result!
