I did my sleep study for my gastric bypass last night.......no results for a week!!! 
Just spent $800 on new glasses and a new Exam! Someone has to fuel this economy!!!

So, here we are . . . . finally . . . election day. Our country is going to change today . . . one way, or another. Your response in my journal has lots of good and thoughtful points . . . I think there are more things that we might agree upon than not . . . but I am also O.K. with us agreeing to disagree on some of it, as well. I know I talk about mandated or incentivised fuel economy for vehicles . . . and I really do believe there needs to be some of that . . . otherwise nothing will ever change . . . and we will continue to fill the coffers of the folks in the middle east. But . . . . . I would also really like to own a hot rod someday . . . and I won't give a shit what it gets for mileage!
So let's hope some good comes from all of this . . . . and let's hope that after today, the people of our country will get behind a new program, and work together as they have in years past, so that things will get a little better, and the future will be a little brighter for all of us!

That's awesome how you can save a lot of money. I would say go to Thailand as well! I agree with Franpire, it would be an awesome way of spoiling yourself after surgery. I'm sure your tests will be fine, but I'll be sending you some positive thoughts. So cool you're getting closer to your surgery. A brand new start in life, eh?

We're leaving for Denmark on Monday, hopefully we'll be going on a nice vacation on Tues and 2 weeks.

But one thing is for sure. Almost no one outside of the US like you anymore. No one. Doesn't that say that somewhere down the line you were doing something wrong? No one likes a bully. Might does not make right and your bombs were solving shit.
Doesn't the federal reserve just go on printing if it wants to? Could it be it just had no more faith in the Government to let it keep going into more and more debt?
As far as Obama, to the world he signifies change. Weather he is change....time will tell. I can imagine for many in the US itself that is scary. The world only sees it as positive because it couldn't get much worse than that fucking retard you had before. Again time will tell and my feelings are he will be murdered. So be it. That will bring about riots you've never seen before I'm sure. Then we will see how civilized, the apparently greatest state on earth is.
I don't think the results of this election will have any immediate impact on the troubled economy . . . there is so much wrong there, even if you tried to change policies today, there will be a significant lead time, before resuts become apparrent.
I think as long as we remain a strong economic power in the world, we will be in a position to influence others. And in my mind, the big stick isn't foot soldiers . . . its what's in the tubes onboard our sub fleet.
