It's been a long time since I last blogged!
I hope you are well and safe wherever you are.
I've been MIA, because I haven't been feeling productive nor especially motivated to keep up with every social account during these crazy times.
Anyone who has been reading my posts or keeping up with global news knows that the situation in Brazil is out of control and a lot has been happening. I've been struggling with depression and hopelessness because of it.
But aside from team photographer status here, I also own with a few friends a small media startup. We make journalism about art and culture that focus on minorities - intersecting class, race, gender and sexuality in our content. We are not fully profitable yet, but we are working hard on it. For the last six months I was focused solely on this project, because it was safe and I could do it from home while I waited for my turn to be vaccinated.
That leads me to today's post.
Since Thursday I have been vaccinated! Well... by the first dose at least, still 90 days to go before the second one.
The vaccine gave me some protection from the virus and a boost in hope for the future.
Hopefully I will be back producing more sets soon, now that I feel more secure.
