So it's my birthday.... I am 24 now. OLD! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes though, it made my day. It's actually the 6th right now cuz Japan is ahead on time, and I went out with a teacher I used to work with, his family, and two of my friends here in Sapporo. The teacher got hammered and proceeded to drunkenly insult both my friends, who now blame me for the entire event and one of them walked off after and is not speaking to me. Great birthday huh?
Japan has been cool but I will be more than ready to head home in a couple of weeks. It has been a good trip for the most part, some highlights include:
-Getting drunk in the park and re-enacting every major light saber battle from Episodes 1-6 with four 8 year olds.
-Getting ran off the road by a taxi and tumbling onto the sidewalk. (no major injuries, so it was fun)
-Staying out all night at Sapporo night clubs and making the ungodly long walk home, or buying beer and waiting in the park for the first subway train back home.
It's really the little random things I like best about traveling. It's not just being somewhere, it's being somewhere and having a lightsaber duel with an 8 year old.
