Doing laundry at my mama's house while she's out of town. Still no interwebz at my apartment, but hopefully I'll get around early tomorrow and get it taken care of. I'm also going on campus to find me a work-study job.
I checked my Facebook and it was overwhelmingly boring. I couldn't find anything or anyone appealing enough to hold my attention. It's amazing how many people I graduated with are still in high school, at least mentally and emotionally. They depend on their parents, party like it's their senior year, and don't care about anything real other than their fading beauty. It's sad, but I compare it to my life and can't help but envy their carelessness and vibrance. I wish I cared less, that I could let go of my inhibitions for a fraction of my day, just long enough to feel alive.
All week I've been debating on whether or not to buy a vacuum. It all depends on how soon I can pay my electric bill and next month's rent. I feel like a droid, haha.
I want to wake up to something outside of mundanity.
The only times I feel alive any more are when I'm driving in the country before work listening to my music, letting go of the wheel and laughing when I veer too close to the ditch. I'm afraid of what my boredom will drive me to do sometimes, but then I remember how afraid I am to be bold enough to be noticed.

I don't think you need to be bold - or anything other than yourself for that matter - to be noticed.

Just be you! Do what you feel and it will be noticed.
