After my phone interview last week with Netflix, they asked when I could come in for an in-person interview in Portland, Oregon. Well... considering their office it 650 miles from me I set up for a week later and got the time off work (barely) and told them I could make a 6:30pm interview the following Tuesday.
I drove the 9 hours up on monday
I stopped in Ashland on the way up to have breakfast with a new foxy friend. Mmmm... Breakfast burrito and Evo's. Tasty.
After that I hopped back on the road to Portland

Those of you who know portland... Lots of porn stores.
Checked out 7 or 8 apartments in Beaverton and Aloha (A little outside of Portland) and found one that I really liked just at the end of the afternoon catching them as they were locking up.
Had Sushi with my new BoBo buddy Asdis and then walked around downtown Portland a bit going nowhere in particular (story of life, right?)
THEN I went to the hotel to catch some Zzzz's. The next day I went back and actually did a tour of the apartments I liked and I loved them. That's where I wanna move, out in Aloha. 8 minutes form my potential workplace.
At 5:30 I got to NETFLIX to get ready for my group interview (First one for me) and it felt like it went well. I've got my fingers crossed for it. They said that the next training class that they're hiring for is for MONDAY. Yes THIS Monday! I was like 'Umm.... when's the NEXT class?' She asks 'Oh, are you currently employed?' and I go 'Yeah that... and I'm a 9 hour drive from here and am planning on moving.'
So... yeah. Don't know when the next training class is but then again I don't know if I have the job either so we'll see about both. I think if they call me I'll ask them if there's another class they might be doing in like a week or two if I can. I've decided that if they tell me that's it's a MONTH away I'll just say I can make it up Monday. I *kinda* can but it would be a little hard plus I really would be able to say many goodbyes to my people down here. ![]()
That's my news though... After that I went out to dinner with Asdis again (Mmmm... Outback) and hit the sheets to set myself for the long drive the following morning.
On the way home I stopped in Ashland again for another meal and within 25 miles of leaving Ashland I hit the beginning of the snow...
The drive home felt a lot better than the drive up but I also woke up 3 hours later for it.
Well... wish me luck. I'll keep you guys posted.
I hope you get it xx
