Another art project finished. Happy to be done with them too. Boy howdy! A friend of mine came to me with one of those "I know you paint..." type thing and asked if I could make her lifesize standups like you'd see at carnivals and amusement parks designed for a festival in Old Town Sacramento that's highlighting the cultures of the Pacific Rim region of Asian (i.e. Philippines, Japan, China, Vietnam, Korea, etc...). Well, she didn't get back to me with a solid "Yes, we want #", "give us a quote so we can pay you", none of those things until 2 weeks before the even- Mind you I DON'T PAINT WITH PAINTBRUSHES!! I HAVE NEVER PAINTED WITH BRUSHES!! I AM A AEROSOL ARTIST!! But I had some fun doing them, they're made with regular house paints in Red, Blue, Yellow, White, and a Dark Grey in various combinations (I had also never mixed paints to create colors before) so all in all they came out great. They are each 49" wide and 97" tall. So a little over 64 square feet of surface area.
Who want me to make one for them next?
