Why hello!
I figured I needed to blog, FINALLY, and there's no better day than today to do it.
So I found out today that I got hired to a mural painting team for a summer project, yay! I've been waiting weeks for a response from these people, and today it came. I am OVERLY excited about this, and I've been jumping around like a retard all day about it. There's only twelve of us on the team, and we were picked out of seventy. The odds were in my favor, obviously. I'm still a little shocked that I made it in, but fucking stoked regardless.
Not only do we get to paint the mural, we get to design it as well. This will probably the spiffiest, yet hardest part. Hard I say because twelve people who have never met before and that have different styles of art have to come up with a design we all like. Collaboration skills will mean everything. I get to meet these twelve moday, so then I will be able to judge how well we'll all mesh.
As for pay, it's $7.00 an hour. It's not great money, but I don't care at all. I would do it for free honestly... The experience I'm going to gather from this is enough pay, but I won't tell them that, haha.
Oh yes, and I plan to use this blog as a kind of "mural diary". Once a week (maybe more), I plan to post pictures of it's progress, it'll be fun and exciting, trust me.
Besides this whole mural business, I'm enrolled in a summer course at my university. It's an online class too, so it's really convenient. I only have two weeks left now, but I have oh so much reading to do this week (plus a test and two papers), then a final next week. Ughh. History overload! I swear this is the last summer course I ever take in my whole life.
Well, speaking of my reading overload, I should go do something about it. Ick, but it's so nice out! Ah well, maybe I'll read outside, there's a plan.
P.S. I got a random $20 check from my school today. Unexpected money is kick ass.

I haven't looked at your MySpace in awhile and almost forgot about you.
Are you any closer to shooting your set?
You should check out the future/wannabe SG's group. There are a bunch of helpful pointers on there.
