I just got a call from the girls who are on their way here for an afternoon by the pool. They said they're bringing surprises.
I'm so excited.

Tonight, people's minds were closed. I guess that doesn't surprise me, but I am disappointed nontheless.

Will Oldham... an amazing artist, practically boo'ed off stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Granted, it probably wasn't the smartest decision pairing Bjork and he, but she obviously has an appreciation for his music; an appreciation that her fans were not willing to consider.

Going to the rooftop to lay by the pool with the girlies.

I think I'm going to ignore the issue of the cocktail party aftermath that is my apartment. My kitchen sink is still busted so there are a million dishes that I cannot clean. It smells like the Power House.

Sounds like you had quite the weekend but cocktail parties are often worth the trouble. Broken sink or NOT! Still, that's really terrible, espeically since it's been so damn hot and pestilence has a way of burgeoning in a dirty sink.

Sorry. I wish I did know someone I could trust to be a good guardian who could take him. Everyone I know has as many pets as they need/want/can afford, including me. The worst part will be turning him over to the Humane Society. frown

Belated birthday celebration. Cobras & Matador. Great food, amazing friends, too much wine.
Some how I've ended up with hot wax burns.
Just got home and Mochi has a pair of my fishnets stuck on her claw. She's probably been walking around with them all day.
