What up? I've been away for a long time. Sorry, neglecting my duties as a proud SG member. I have been better, but I've also been worse. I have had this feeling lately which is hard to explain, I guess it's a little like 'this is the first dsy of the rest of your life', 'carpe deium', change is the action you take which will make the difference...
I need to get my shit together. My hunny and I have been thinking about buying a house. With our pretty decent income, it shouldn't be a problem, but we have not been able to save any loot and it is very frustrating. Here in the yay area, houses are available, but it's like $500k for even a shitty house. We've got the two kids, a dog, teo turtles and fish, so we need a decent sized place. And with no money to put down, we're kinda SOL. I am hoping that in the next year we can pull it together and pay our bills on time to get the credit rating up, then try to tuck some money away somewhere.
I get all bummed out because a lot of people our age have nice places, but then again they have rich parents to give them money. We don't.
