My dad asked me to come earlier this week to install his electrical fire place (ugly tv that produce heat), modify it to connect through the wall electricity and built a brick-ish wall.
I never did any of those things but im really good with my hands to do everything its almost annoying lol and ok electricity its pretty much basic physics.
So i arrive and not so bad theres a plug almost right next so i pretty much just run the wire threw the wall and connect it in the plug box just like a serie circuit.
For the brick it was something else, they were concrete fake marble and pretty heavy and flat behind, so normal ceramic glue wouldnt be ok, it would actually fall off so i used contact glue. Worked perfectly. For cutting them since its concrete and it chips, you just start cutting it on one side just to make a mark so when you actually do the real cut on the otherside it doesnt chip.
After 8 hours, of doing something i never done before, i was finished and it looks like this. My dad is happy, he always seem to underestimate me and always inpressed when he see me work.
So i think im not just a carpenter but pretty much an handyman... What do you think?
