"I think face lifts make you look older not younger, all of a sudden attention is drawn to, 'Oh you need a face lift.' I hope that I don't buckle under it. I certainly know when I look around me it is not as if I am looking at women my age who have had plastic surgery and saying, 'Oh. See, now that is fabulous. That is an ad for plastic surgery.' All you look at them and think is either they look crazy or awful. Or in the case of some of them, I will say, 'Oh, wow. That looks like a beautiful woman. It just doesn't look like the same beautiful woman. She doesn't look like blank anymore." ~ Ellen Barkin
I concur. I intend to go out gracefully (perhaps gracefully is not the best choice of words as I am about the least graceful person I know). But what I mean is that I intend to accept my age as it continues to progressively show. I am not afraid of what nature may do to me - it's all the doctors and technological rebuilding that freaks me out. Consider this, most medical doctors and specialists do not have a clue as to how to treat a number of serious medical conditions, diseases, and life threatening symptoms. These are highly trained and supposedly competent practitioners. Yet, the majority, when left to their own devices, don't really have any answers or solutions (let alone the plastic surgeons) so they band-aid and soak up insurance money. This alone strikes terror within me as I think about all these plastic surgeons pumping up and sucking out the pieces of who we are and have been since birth. I have a feeling there are a lot of rocks being left unturned - a lot of information that is still undisclosed - and we will see the repercussions of this as time plods on. I don't have a problem with those who make the choice to have this done. I just feel that I'd rather go out with what I came in with - leaves less margin for error that way.

Itis not the plastic suregery I am interested in....it is the upgrades. Like cybernetic arms and stuff. Yep, definitely want wetware. I suppose it is possible I read far too much cyberpunk stuff.
