I'm in Kansas now for the rest of the week, and then some.

D's family is great. Although I haven't been surrounded by this much god stuff in a while. Leave it to me to fall in love with a Deacon's kid.

I miss my Crow. And my The Chocolate. But there are plenty of animals around the house to keep me occupied otherwise. One of the dogs, Pig, licked my entire forearm this morning from the elbow down to my wrist, and all the way around. She wouldn't have stopped there if I hadn't pulled away. I think she's very aptly named.

I saw my first firefly yesterday. They really do have whole fieldfuls here. City kids like me miss out on stuff like this ... it becomes a strange novelty, like seeing cows or deer grazing in real life.

It's crazy how my first thought is usually "Wow, it looks just like how they have it in Disneyland". Kinda sick. My initial impressions of the world were mostly plastic. But I guess you wouldnt expect any less from a family whose kids were born in Beverly Hills and Hollywood, respectively.
