My grandpa is in the emergency room. He fell in the middle of the night and wasn't found by my grandmother until morning.

My grandmother doesn't seem to be handling things well. I don't think anyone can blame her.

She packed him a lunch before the ambulance came.

When the men carried him down the stairs, my sister had to hold the tears in -- he looked so small, she said.



I'm one of few people my age whose grandparents are all still living. I don't want that to change.

But I know some day it has to.



Does that make me prepared though? I don't know yet.
