So, I spent the last few months of 2010 convincing myself that, with the new year, I'll be starting a new life. Things will be different and, for once, I'll be heading in a positive direction.
Although this probably doesn't seem like a huge thing to most people, I have now successfully cooked two whole meals this month...in the kitchen...without it trying to kill me. No burns from an oven door swinging open randomly, or from steam mysteriously going the wrong direction. No knives flying across the counter, or any other strange, weird, mysterious things that you can possibly imagine a kitchen doing to someone that it despises as much as it has despised me.
Maybe, we've settled our differences - the kitchen and I. Hopefully, we have. If so, this year is definitely headed in the right direction...so far...
