Juror number two fulfilled her duties. It turned out it was a hung jury..... three of the twelve wouldn't change their votes. The defendant was definitely NOT guilty of his crime. While being stupid is technically a crime and can be punishable what this man did was ignorant mixed with being at the end of his rope and exhausted every other resource.

In other news.... I bought a new bed this last saturday! A queen size beauty rest, FIRM. I'm kind of sad that I didn't go for the pillow top but I think it will be best for me all around especially after it starts to break in. I won't get the bed until friday though.

Sunday was the end of summer bbq. I brought baked beans (my great grandmothers recipe) and banana pudding. I'm happy to say they were both received well.

Life right now is really good, there will always be the occasional snag but nothing I cannot work through. I have found myself smiling more ever since my birthday, one of those epiphanies I guess.....finding what makes you happy and concentrating on that rather than things that make you sad and things that could go wrong. It might not make sense to anyone but me, but that's all I care about (and no that isn't being selfish).

I'm taking a small vacation in November. I'm going to fly up to Seattle for a few days.... be all touristy with an awesome tour guide and see the new Harry Potter movie with people as excited about the movie as I am.

More exciting news...... Roxymonoxcide and Nonsense are going to have their son pretty soon. The first baby in my life ever!

FACT: Jujubee has never changed a dirty diaper.

My sister is also due to give birth the month after them so I will have TWO boys in which to practice the fine art of changing smelly diapers. Believe it or not I am actually looking forward to this.
