There is something to be said about hot baths with lots of yummy vanilla bubbles. Soaking up the warmth, feeling the water glide across your skin....caressing you. Smelling the vanilla (and the carnations -birthday present); just inhaling deeply and letting out a long sigh. Such bliss. You cant help but relax, and pampering my feet was fun too. To top it all off, after my bath, I made myself a vanilla/chocolate ice cream cone. *slurp*
I think if I do more things like that I can make my life even better than it is now. I need to start taking pleasure in the smaller things. Like bubble baths,ice cream cones, good books, and just the plain fact that I have SO MANY neat friends whom I just adore.
I went shopping for my bathroom today. I bought a new rug(b&w checks) and some guest towels(pink and white), a bath math with pretty blue starfish and clear pebble on it and a new shower mirror. The bathroom is starting to look like an eclectic 50's scene with pink tile, a kit-kat clock and now the new additions....

My roomies got back from their honeymoon in Fiji today. They look worn but happy. Glad to have them back, I admit I missed them a little

That sounds absoultely heavenly. I have a giant clawfoot bathtub and, as of yesterday, hot water (YAY!!!). As soon as I'm awake at home for more than a few minutes (probably not until sunday evening), I'm sooooo lighting my yummy vanilla candles and taking a nice, long, hot bubble bath. I need to find some of those vanilla bubbles though, to match my vanilla candles and vanilla incense. Did I mention I love the smell of vanilla?
