I just now read the thread and article about the Cincinnati girl who was sent home for showing cleavage. How difficult is it to follow school policy? It wasn't as if the school said "No revealing clothing", which then, in a way, I could understand how two different parties' interpretation of the word "revealing" could make the whole thing a big issue, but, the guidelines... Woe for the homes of the North,
And woe for the seats of the South:
All who felt life's spring in prime,
And were swept by the wind of their place and time
All lavish hearts, on whichever side,
Of birth urbane or courage high,
Armed them for the stirring wars
Armed themsome to die.
Apollo-like in pride,
Each would slay his Pythoncaught
The maxims... Read More
I was born here in chicago and lived on the south side for 7 years, then I moved back here 2 years ago. So I guess if you totalled it all up, Ive been here abt 9 years total. Not enough to consider myself "a chicagoin". I am more of a "floridian" if u ask me. (where I lived for 15 years) Im more used to small towns with nothing to do. New York to me is just chicago on acid. Everyone is just a little meaner and faster. And ya'll talk funny, hahahah!
My best friend moved up here with me from florida, but hes from NY. He always refers to chicago as "NY ... but BETTER!!!".
ni la intimidad de tu frente clara como una fiesta
ni la costumbre de tu cuerpo, aun misterioso y tacito y de nia,
ni la sucesion de tu vida asumiendo palabras o silencios
seran favor tan misterioso
arrojado a quietud,
divisare esa playa ultima de tu ser
y te vere por vez primera, quiza,
como dios a de verte,
desbaratada la ficcion del tiempo,
sin el amor, sin mi.

if you don't read or speak rob can translate for you. this is a good one.
Dude ... donny darko! I love you! And sorry, the only thing I can explain abt that movie is uh ... nothing! I can tell you that the part where he looks in the mirror with the knife and the evil bunny shows up, MAN! I cant even watch that part its so creepy to me, lol!
Where the helll in NY do u live anyways? Is that like upstate or something? I vowed once never to live in NY, but Im starting to think abt it more and more lately. I just didnt like how busy it was there. Hell, I dont even like how busy it is HERE in chicago!!
I hate getting a job, I wish to christ that I could just do whatever, some bullshit job with no annoying boss. I am a horrible employee with a terrible job history. If Im not doing something I feel good abt then I act like an asshole and that sucks. Im wondering if I should do something different like sell makeup door to door, lol.
I actually slept well today. And missing the cutoff time for McDonald's breakfast with Rob was just fine. I really should have called in sick from work, and just stayed with him. He's great. I hope he understands that I genuinely mean it when I tell him how I feel.
"What do you think about when you kiss me?"
"Insertion."
Im just getting over a really awful sickness ... I was down and out for 2 1/2 weeks, longest Ive ever been sick in my life. My sleeping patterns havent gotten back to the way they were, in fact, Im lucky if I get 3 hrs of sleep each night. so I feel ya, girl!!!
Tra-la-laaa, happy entry. No more complaining like a lunatic.
So I almost fell over lifting the AC up to stick in my window. But the near broken spine was worth it, because now my goddamn room isn't 125 degrees. Cold air makes me happy.
I've probably said this already, but the weekend was great, and so were the last couple of days/nights. I love when... Read More
That's an awesome John Adams quote. I figured you might like him. They were some pretty amazing people, huh? True progressives, even in the modern sense of the word. Most of them hated slavery and were religiously tolerant. But they also had real balls, which unfortunately a lot of progressives today kind of lack. It was a potent combination.
I don't think asking for respect with personal property or space is too much. But for whatever reason(s), my relatives don't seem to understand the concept of "Judy's not home, maybe we shouldn't just keep going into her room." How many times do I have to tell anyone willing to listen that I have these insane, raging privacy issues? The one person I live with,... Read More
Parents are notorious for that- I think thats probably one of the main reasons people move out on their own, because then their stuff is theirs alone and no one will go a-snoopin... unless you have roommates that is
Wasn't there an episode of "Friends" where Monica comes home and tells everyone about the night she spent having "the talk" with the guy she was dating?
So I had every intention of writing a whole lot of crap here about the last 20-something hours, but I just don't want to be embarrassing.
I wanted to listen to the cd's I got today, but I'm about seven and a half minutes away from passing out entirely.
I've spent too much time with
grandpa in the last couple of days.
And it was nice to meet some of the SGNY kids tonight. Even though I barely said a word to anyone aside from gramps and this guy. Blame it... Read More
