the NEW YYYs album?? that album came out in the states like, well over a year ago. but yeah, I guess that you could say in my life "there is no modern romance"
I remember roaming downtown where I live listening to that cd on repeat and just wanting to faint because I was so lifeless with emotion (last year was one of the worst and most emotional years of my life). it truly is an amazing piece of work, the YYYs are geniouses.
you should move to Raleigh once you come to the States. either that or at least rent an apartment with me when I go to NYC, haha. it was cool going there with no friends but to have a constant drinking buddy would rule, lol.
do you have AIM by the way??

Jub Jub! I've totally come to look forward to your coments in my journal. I enjoyed the "Torture Garden" quote very much. I aspire to be so clear in my thoughts. To answer your question, I'm going back to school to study Lit/Writing, which at first made me laugh too much when I first pondered what to study. Lo and Behold, I have chosen the route of bohemian studies after all. To answer your other question, I used to write like my life depended on it, and then I turned my back on it for whatever reason for eons, so now I am jumping back into the water of my words.

"Surrealism had a great effect on me because then I realised that the imagery in my mind wasn't insanity. Surrealism to me is reality "....John Lennon
...thought that quote was quite fitting for my outlook on life right now, everything seems very surreal...plus ive been in another heavy Beatles phase as of late, especially the White album and Sgt Peppers.. i love it how...

our NZ trip will definitely be inbetween 2005 and 2010, we have it narrowed down to that atleast
The girl just got a new job, so we have to see how it goes and then we can start really saving up for it.
Is there a certain section that is better than the rest?

Thanks for the writing compliment.
I aactually am going back to finidh my degree but it's kind of hoaky. I'm studying literature and writing. I used to laugh at the idea of it but here we are. So wait, you don't want to get your tattoo done in NZ, is that what you meant?

I like your taste in music!!
I love the YYYeahs, especially older songs like "Machine" and "Miles Away." But yeah, Y Control is one of those songs that transports me to another planet, or so it seems.
Smashing Pumpkins has been and will always be one of my favorite bands. As are The Beatles, of course.
And I still gotta check out the new PJ Album. It's on my list.

Our music is like early-nineties guitar rock struggling to become indie guitar beauty, which in my mind is kind of the same thing but with different emphasis. We're at a point where I almost have an idea of what we just were, but I don't know how to make us become what we'll be next.
It's going to be fun.

My bass is candy apple red.. same color my hair is now. Actually, I'm a natural red, just not quite so vibrant! Ah, and the PJ Harvey song Meet the Monzter is my favorite by her... Good stuff. I'm going to post a picture of me and my bass as soon as I figure out how to do it. I'm not great with computers, I just fake it pretty well! Thanks for the compliment..
