....i just re-watched HEAT for the first time in years, i was lost inside the greatness again; such a great fucking movie, balls out, full throttle and Al and de Niro together, its almost too much......
....been watching lots of movies lately, tis lovely wrapped of by the heater as the ice slowly dissapates in the mornings....the day i watched A Very Long Engagement was a day i will not too soon forget....it totally blew me away, such rich beauty in the cinematography, the colours so vibrant it seemed too surreal and just Jeanut's style, really had me going through a whole spectrum of emotion, cant beleive i missed it on the big screen!....and of course Audrey is just adorable and the war fucking insane and scary like always....
...went and saw Batman Begins last night baked as a cake, fuckin A, i havnt been to the conventional multiplex movies in years; primarily because i oft get let down, however Batman was pure escapism, really dark and brooding underneath, something much sinister lurking at the heart of it, maybe it was Christan Bale in the lead, he was the best Batman ive seen; esp since seeing American Psycho and the rest of the cast was great and the Scarecrow was the trippiest villian i have seen in years, was like a little kid coming out of the theatre swimming in my imagination....restored my hope and love for big budget movies in a way....off to see Mr and Mrs Smith this afternoon......just to get riduclously high and trip out on ms.jolie, i am much excited...hehe
.........in between movies, just been jamming guitar, i love the riffs on the new System of a Down so melodic and dark all at once
...my friends band Wolves on the Fold who totally rock out with their original brand of frentic melodic spiritual acsending music are playing in Hamilton at ward lane on Saturday night with Gods Q and New Caledonians who all rip up big time if you like alternative music, so if anyone is around you should come check out.......also gigging the following week in Orks, i will be up for sure, film festival week too...ahh life is great

coolio - i'll be at the gig 4sure - lettme know where the venue is when its confirmed (i'm thinking it'll be at Edens Bar?) and we'll shoot the shit.
As to things growing in the cold - my understanding is that that is all good, and not affected badly by students leaving. Probably just the opposite.
