...mmm Angelina Jolie, watched Girl, Interrupted again this week, fuck i love that movie, she is just electric..so cool...been a kind of lucid week, doing lots of reading, writing, and watching films, or re-watching cool films i have...'Donnie Darko, Mulholland Drive...nothing in the new release section at the video store seems to interest me...although i did see Jane Campion's new film, In the Cut with Meg Ryan, thought it was beautiful filmmed, lovely sexual colour of imagery and really suprising to see how good of an actress Meg can by when shes not type cast as some candy sweet romantic little bubble...which she is good at, but yeh way cooler in this....
...i have a busy weekend ahead of me....there is a 24 hour film festival being held in my town...so yeh for a filmhead like myself its kinda exciting...have to do in-camera editing though which will be really challenging in terms of structure, no going back, so i guess story-boards will be out in force...
have a team together of creative people so will be good, im director which is kinda rad, but since time is an enemy i will have to be thinking really fast, planned it a bit in terms of actors and music but at some meeting tonite they give you five items you have to include, so im thinking as soon as i know those, ideas will just start flowing from everyones mind...should be fun and a challenge and of course getting wrecked afterwards at the after-party...

I remember roaming downtown where I live listening to that cd on repeat and just wanting to faint because I was so lifeless with emotion (last year was one of the worst and most emotional years of my life). it truly is an amazing piece of work, the YYYs are geniouses.
you should move to Raleigh once you come to the States. either that or at least rent an apartment with me when I go to NYC, haha. it was cool going there with no friends but to have a constant drinking buddy would rule, lol.
