Has anyone ever actually gotten salmonella from eating raw cookie dough or is everyone just trying to stop me from living my life?

You're very unlikely to get salmonella from eating raw eggs. (Which is what's in the cookie dough that makes people worry) but if you left it out on the counter a long time, you might. Or if someone temperature abused it at the store before you even bought it.
