Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in even when it means loosing opportunities.
As some of you know I am a huge Halloween buff. It's my favorite holiday. I think about Halloween and look at Halloween stuff almost every day. My pinterest is full of Halloween stuff. Well these past few years I have been helping with building and running a local Haunted House. It has been amazing. I have loved it. The owner has been planning on getting out of the business because it is to much for him to handle with all the other stuff he has going on. He has mentioned selling me everything for a ridiculously low price when he decides to move on. I was extatic.
Well I have lost any chance of not only owning the haunt but also working at the haunt.
I publicly showed my support for the legalization of marriage. I posted how happy and proud I was of the country for finally making a good decision. The owner decided it was a good idea to message me about how shocked he was to find out I was supporting it and that the bible says this that and the other. So I fired back with all the other ridiculous things the bible banned that we all break on a daily basis. I quoted probably 20 lines from the bible. Basically telling him if he thinks we should deny rights to these people because of what the Bible says then all of our rights should be taken away. Told him you can't pick and choose which parts you want to follow and ignore the rest. I hate when people do that. They want to hate on someone for "not following gods laws" while breaking every other ridiculous rule lined out in that book.
His response was basically telling me I was going to hell. That is all he could say. Your going to hell. Lol
Needless to say he won't be letting me help or buy the haunt from him. Probably will never talk to me again. But oh well. Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in no matter the price. And sometimes you just have to let ignorant people be ignorant.
