So I'm building a big cement box, 200'x70'. I'm building this lovely thing so people can fill it with files, stacks of useless info. I used to build houses people loved, dream houses for regular people, I took pride in my work. Now? now I put together treated wood on a huge metal roof so it can be covered with more metal.
I think I may make it to friday, if left alone, and if the supervisor ignores me for 3 more days.
Then mabey I'll quit, take a huge paycut and sell climbing gear, ride the buss and actually see the city I'm supposed to be living in instead of some ugly $%@%(*$%&#%!!!! industrial/comercial subdivision.
mabey I'll ge a new haircut and some hip new clothes (what? nobody says hip anymore, groovy? how 'bout gnarly? or stylin?..) and hang out at some coffee shop.'
or mabey I'll just go back to the forrest and forrage on berries and salmon with the rest of the bears...
how much better would it be to spend the next 6 months training and climbing hard, winter alpine, work with other climbing freaks and be poor, and not lay awake at night not wanting to sleep 'cause when you wake up you have to go back to the box...
