so i guess the feeling is mutual....

let's see.....i think about quitting dillard's every single day that i work there. i nitpick everything about that place. the lingerie department is my baby, and we have all these new people (well 2 of them), and they dont know what they're doing with merchandising, and its making me so frustrated. one of the girls merchandizied some "eyeshadow" panties with MY calvin klein display. i almost cried. hehe.
i'll stop now, i could go on forever about dillard's.

it would be awesome if you could quit dillard's and teach. its a good opportunity for you to pratice what you love...and obivously what you want to do with it as your career. wow. i wish i could quit and go design stuff.
the dillard's thing has been good because it's made me realize that i don't ever (unless necessary) want to be a store manager, visual merchandisizer, or even buyer.

there's a tremendous amount of money to be made in design. obivously some people are millionaires, this is rare. hehe. umm....but in general i think you can make good money at it. there's a lot of different jobs that you can do. there's not just "designer," as the only job option.

ideally, heh, and i'd probably need to go to school for journalism for this, but i'd love to work for a fashion magazine. but like i was writing in my journal with all the different internships that i've applied for so far....i just wanna get in the door and figure out what it is that i like. i like patternmaking, cad, illustration....but i dont know what i like best. cad people make the best money probably out of all of those....

i get depressed over my major sometimes cause i don't feel like i'm doing anything that important, and also i feel like the education i'm getting here isn't the best that i could be getting...but i have a florida bright futures scholarship...so it's free. who can pass up free? hehe, whenever i get sad over my major i always wish that i had done social work...heh. big difference.

i think teaching is so cool. i remember all the good teachers that i've had. well i guess remember every teacher, but the good ones really made a difference. my best friend, peter, is majoring in interior design and he also gets the same sad feelings about how "pointless" his major is sometimes, and he always thinks that he should become a teacher...and i wish he just would. he would be so good at it.....screw interior design.

i think its so self indulgent to be a designer of this sort. interior and clothing. completely unnecessary for actual life, but highly important for the life everyone seems to be seeking.

my plans...i wish i had a plan like yours...heh...and it does sound like a very dream job. you'll lots of time to pursue other things besides just your career. the summers. wow.

i don't have a plan plan. i just want to get a job that i enjoy, and that continues to challenge me. i'm very open to everything in the design industry. some days i really want to design for target and other days i drool over some fantasy of working for chanel. i like jimmy choo, but i love puma. i think it'll help that i'm so open to working anywhere. also, i feel very much like i have to get a good job because of my parents. i used to feel so pressured to do well for them. it's still there, but it's died down the past year. thank god. because i was making myself crazy worrying about pleasing them. they're very much into me making good money.
i dunno if it's a jewish thing, a russian thing, or just a parent thing.
yes, i'm russian. hehe, you didn't read my profile closely enough. we did move here whenever i was 7. actually we started moving when i was 6. there were no direct flights at the time so we lived in italy for 2 months and i turned 7 there. you and i are both capricorns too.......did you notice that?
i'm sorry to disappoint you, but i have no accent.

my dad has this awesome russian accent and my mother has just kind of turned her's into this sexy "european" type accent that works really well on impressing her customers. she's a skin care person.
i feel bad, i've written too much. i babble. i'm sorry. i can't be concise. i guess i could edit, but i have to shower and try to wake up a little bit....

I got lucky M...but I paid a big price for those social skills...got me a great wife though. Put me back 10 years...but I think I'm starting to catch up.

I am crying in my beer because work told me this week they were relocating me for an entire year in upstate NY. No notice no nothing. I travel for work but never had to leave it for so long. I love where I live.....

They told me on Tuesday....I was supposted to be close to home for another project but it fell through. They can do anything - I am a traveling consultant and its part of the job and of corporate america.

well.... like allied said, it depends on how close you are to your room mate.

i'd talk to him about his attitude towards yourself and ask him to apologise for the things he said to you, because it obviously hurt you, and if he does'nt, i would'nt lose sleep over it. in fact tell him to go fuck himself.

but like you said if you do go back and stay with your parents, you can do the thing you've always wanted to do.

again the choice is yours, and maybe talking to your dad might help you make your decision.
