Well, you'll all be very happy to hear that I've been accused of sexual harassment. I teach music at the local highschool, and one of the flute players thinks I'm treating her poorly and making snide comments all because I like her tits or something.
This is all bullshit, obviously. I'm not into 15 year-olds.
The thing is, once sexual harassment charges are leveled against you, false or not, you can never teach again. It's a huge blemish on your perminate record that keeps you out of backround checks required by all education jobs. If this girl goes through with her claims, I'm totally screwed!!
We've talked about it, and I've apologized and everything. I told her that my actions towards her have nothing to do with sex or anything like that. I've told her that whatever I was doing to make her uncomforatable would stop right away. I even told her that I want to promote a positive learning atmosphere, and that information on what I did to make her mad would be valuble to me so I can change my teaching style. She just kept shaking her head and saying that she "didn't know." Her parents are pissed too. It's her word against mine, and her parents believe her, obviously.
Again, I need you guys to understand that I serioualy did nothing to her. I'm not sure what gave her the idea that I was attracted to her and that I was using my feelings as a motive to be mean to her.
Wonderful. This is just wonderful. I want to teach for a living. I can't have my career aspirations ruined at age 20! What should I do???
