We've had a disaster. Ginger, my roommate's dog, hopped the fence this morning and was apparently clipped by a car in the street. One of her hind legs is badly broken. It's really serious! I saw the x-ray, the bone is cut clean in half. The lower part of her leg has actually slid up and over the upper area. OUCH. Poor Ginger must really be hurting. The vet gave Ginger a lot of painkillers, and those are supposed to last for 72 hours. Hopefully by then Ginger will be in surgery. I told my roommate that I would try to put in some money for the surgery because I feel REALLY bad for Ginger, and I also feel bad for my roomie because the surgery is going to be very pricey.
Ginger is asleep in the kitchen on a couple towels with a water bowl nearby right now. She lifts her head and watches me walk by, but that's about it. She makes no attempt to move.
The vet said that since Ginger is so young (about 8 months) she should be able to make a full recovery. She'll be laid up for about 3 months, though. That will give us plenty of time to build up the fence around the back yard so she can't jump out ever again.
Ginger getting injured really made my roommate and I realize how much we love her. No matter the cost, we'll figure out a way to get her the surgery she needs.
Oh, it's gonna cost a lot though...
Let's change the subject. I want to talk about me now. ME. I paid the cash for this site, not Ginger. Haha.
There's a CUTE girl working at Sears with me. She's the new shoe manager. Man, she is hot. I was one of the first people she met, so whenever she sees me I get a smile and a hello from her. I want to know if she has a boyfriend, but I don't want to ask it in a way that will let her know I have an agenda... You know? How should I ask her if she's available?
Whew, I'm hopeless.

After talking to a lot of different vets, they all want about $2000 for Ginger's leg surgery.
That's a lot of money. We're just college students. We may have to put her down... My roommate is crying.

Oh and not only do I read them all but I also reply. I'm the type of person that always has to have the last word so I just keep going until the other person gives up.

---Umm how about you just ask her? If you really don't want to then you will need to strike up a conversation with her one day and work the question into the duscussion. Or better yet steer the direction in a way as to make her tell you yourself. Shit it's not that hard. LOL. I've never had a guy be hesitant asking me if I'm hitched or what not.
