Well, my ex-girlfriend and I are trying to be friends now.
It's not going that well though.
See, because every time she opens her mouth and says something, it pisses me off. Like, a lot. And all I can think to myself is "I hate you." Keep in mind, I'm very polite and stuff, but inside I'm angry.
So yeah, that's no fun. I may have to find some new folks to hang out with, since her and I are in the same circle of friends. Anything to get away from her at this point.
It's probably a combination of hurt from her leaving me and having to watch her flirt with all these new people all over the place. It's tough stuff. I'm mad all the time.
And thank goodness she broke it off. If she hadn't, we'd still be together and I'd be dating someone that pisses me off all the time. And who'd want that?

Make plans with the people in your circle and tell them that you don't want to put them in the middle, but that you want/need to hang out without her around while you are healing.
Make sure they understand that you don't care if they want to hang out with her, but you'd appreciate it if they did so away from you for a bit.
Real friends will understand this.
If it was me, and they were not understanding, I'd dump them.
