Long days, longer nights. I am in a constant state of exhaustion these days. I now have the ability to sleep anywhere at anytime. It's almost like narcolepsy, as soon as I stop moving, I fall out. I am so tired I am starting to see things. I constantly see things that aren't there, just on the edges of my peripheral vision. Just enough for my reflexes to trigger. If I was the only one it might be embarrassing...it doesn't help that I am armed to the teeth at all times either. I now keep my M-4 out of arms reach when I sleep. January is approaching and we are preparing to "embrace the suck" as it were. The elections are a farce and on the ground here it is widely regarded as a no win situation. My vocabulary is increasing, so I can't say I haven't learned anything from the 10th SFG. For instance, I would never have heard the terms "German Beltbuckle" or "Roman Battle mask" if I hadn't been on this rotation (3rd OIF). But I digress, Xmas is approaching and I hope all is well for anyone and everyone (except Rush Limbaugh...I hope he is on the receiving end of a roman battlemask). WORD.
