No longer can we disavow the hands that we shake...
Been on the ground two weeks now, many more to go. It's odd how quickly you become accustomed to daily mortar/rocket attacks and random small arms fire. But we are winning and the Iraqi's all love us (so Fox News tells me). They stream Faux on the network here, the O-4 in charge of comm is married to a Faux news staffer so we are forced to observe 24-7. I won't talk about things in too much detail, my wife reads my journals and I don't want to overly worry her. I have the misfortune of being here during the rainy season too...there is no emoticon in existence that could show my level of false excitement. I am waiting for the results of the election with baited breath, no matter who wins, very little will change for me. I'm won't be coming home any sooner. If my guy wins it will give me a little hope, if not I'll shake my head mutter a curseword or two and press on. Best of luck to everyone, I hope you voted (lollygaggers)
