i used to have a roommate from the Netherlands. i learned from her that reading dutch may be somewhat important, but speaking it isn't needed as much. most who go through the equivalent of our high school there speak a second and sometimes third language. english is the first big choice, then french and german.

Hi. It rained down here on Halloween so I didn't get to do much. The rain is good for all the fires though. I haven't heard much about those lately. Last night I celebrated Day of the dead. It was a lot bigger this year, they even had the street blocked off. I am going to try and post some pics. today or tomorrow of some of the art work that they had there. Favorite bands?
