Rather suddenly, things seem to be looking up. I found work, albeit another dead-end job, that I think I'll really enjoy. I'll be working at an artisan bakery, which I've done before and thoroughly enjoyed. My main complaint about the last bakery I worked at was that they were very poorly run/organized and this one does not appear to be. I also arranged to start a week from now to give me time to look around for something professional. Telus is having a job fair tomorrow, which I'm excited about. Between speaking two languages (three, if you lower your standards a little ) and having customer service experience out the ass, I know I'm overqualified for something entry-level with them.

So now I'm officially on vacation, with a steady job lined up, and I just found out I can go to Banff for the weekend! Whoooooo! Makes me think of JDRook explaining 'pronoia' to me: the concept of the universe conspiring in your favour. It's about damn time, as I'm accustomed to getting more than my share of the opposite.

Only downside to the last few days: I finally went to get my hair cut and walked out of the salon with a REAL mullet! Picture FUBAR meets Liza Minelli. Plus, with my lip piercing, it makes me look like a dumb scruffy kid. Now I have the burning desire to start uber-intellectual conversations just to prove people wrong.
