Wow I haven't really been on the site since April when Mt. Redoubt was erupting. I guess I don't spend much time on the internet during the summer. Now that it's dark and cold it's time for some SG. So updates:

I quit my job at the family planning clinic so that I can move up to Anchorage next month. I'm hoping to move into a friend's place in Spenard or else I'll probably end up at another friend's apartment downtown (right above the Avenue, which would be dangermouse). Either way I'm happy to be getting out of Homer. All of these super-straight, super-white people make me nervous, and I'm excited to be in a city again. Speaking of which I'm going to be in NYC for the week between xmas and New Years hanging with my sister (who is very rich and always buys my drinks) so /that/ should be fun. I feel like our relationship is pretty wonderful (me an intentionally poor anti-capitalist, her a wealthy financial industry type), but we get a kick out of each other anyway. Largely through shared love of drink, but every family has that thing they're good at, right?

So that's what I'm up to, cutting ties and shift my life north. We'll see how it goes...
