Day 4
Today has been good. I started it out by saving a stray dog. A pretty Black Lab wandered into the warehouse this morning. Skinny from hunger with a mark were a collar used to. Obviously someone had just dumped the poor pup off. I couldn't just let him wander away, I'm a sucker for this sort of thing. So I made some calls. All of the shelters in my area could not guarantee that they would not put him to sleep. I just couldn't have that. It was then that my sister called. She was letting me know what her doctor had said. You see, she had to have a blood count to see if it was O.K. to have her 4th round of Kemo, but that's another story. Let me get back on track here. So, about that time my sister calls and I tell her about this dog. She occationally breeds Chocolate Labs so I thought she might know of a home for this stray. Well, sure enough, she thinks she does. So I got the Dog to her house and he's as happy as one could imagine. I felt good.
I have a problem with the fact that the shelters just kill the animal if they are not claimed. It's not their fault. I think it would be a wiser decision if they were to seek out the owner of the pet...and kill them. That's right. The Bastard that mistreated the dog, just dumping it off for whatever reason should die. What did the animal do? Did it shit on their carpet one too many times? Or bark in the middle of the night? Was it just that they didn't count on that cute little puppy growing up into a BIG DOG? I say kill the asshole that's too stupid to own a pet. It could do nothing but clean-up the gene pool, don't you think?
Allright, I still haven't gotten the camera back. So I scanned an old picture to add to my profile. I bet your all really overly excited!(sarcasm)
There I am, hard at work in the studio on another scary painting. Oh, wait...that's me that's the scary one.....
ciao,
Joseph
