Best. Game. Ever.
This is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II. I used to say that the first one was the best, however in an increasingly unusual twist, the sequel usurps the original in gameplay, story, and sheer excitement.
It is so easy to get caught up in online gaming these days. There's such a plethora of decent massive multiplayer online games that I sometimes forget how incredibly satisfying a good single-player role playing game can be. These games are also made in such a way as to be easy to learn for people who might not have spent much time with games in the past. Do you recall those "choose your own adventure" books from when you were younger? That's exactly what this is like, except with audio-visual. It is like living in a movie. Except that instead of a two hour long movie it lasts for 50 hours instead. That's like a dollar an hour entertainment... how can you beat that?
Obviously this will also greatly appeal to fans of Star Wars. These games are set aproximately 5000 years before the era shown in the movies. But the nice thing about this universe is that not much changes. I guess when you reach this particular portrayal of the apex of technology, things remain relatively stagnant over the milennia.
And yes, you can be good OR evil. It's incredibly satisfying to apply Force Lightning or Force Choke upon those who dare to cross you.
