I just learned that my cousin (well second cousin on my mom's side) Scott passed away last week. I wasn't especially close to Scott, but I've known him as far back as I can remember, my earliest memory actually is from when I was two or three and I nearly drowned in his pool down in Portland.
Scott was a really good guy, he was always cracking jokes, always laughing, and I don't think I ever heard him really say a bad thing about anyone. He lost his legs in Vietnam, and so for as long as I've known him he's always been really heavy, so I'm not terribly surprised that his health finally started to fail. It still really sucks though.
I'm also a little peeved that it took a week for this information to reach me, my dad and my brother. The funeral was right down here, so the fact that nobody let us know and so we couldn't attend bothers me a bit.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.
RIP Scott.
