So it's Friday night and I'm at home watching the UFC live on FX.
We had a bit of a snow storm here today, so not like I could go very far, and I have my daughter this weekend so I usually try to stay home when she's around. Nonetheless it would be nice to get out and about!
So I figured I would update you guys on my dating status. I think the biggest change lately is that I'm not feeling that crazy desperation to find someone I was over the holiday season. I know, I know, now you're all thinking "but, Jon, desperation is such a turn on"
Another big step is finally deciding what I am looking for. I think I am ready for another relationship, something long-term. It's been 3 years since I've had one of those so I think it is time to try it out again.
I'm still single, but have had a few interesting experiences. The first was a coffee "date" with my direct supervisor from work. It went pretty well, but there's this whole "appropriate boundary" thing which keeps coming up. We're both professionals who love our jobs, so we won't be breaking those boundaries, but there is some sexual tension there I think (at least from my side of things).
Other then that I've had a bit more success with the online dating scene. No dates really, but I've been chatting with a few people, and two in particular I'm pretty interested in. Here's hoping I don't fuck things up too much.
