This weekend is the big Poe Celebration in Baltimore featuring John Astin and your humble narrator - www.poeforevermore.com. I have sold and divided almost all of the assets, and my career as an executor and trustee will become a career in world traveling. And don't forget - "DADA Returns" (20th Anniversary Edition), directed by myself, coming to DCAC in May and June, and then moving...

Oh wow I didn't notice til now that you have some published sets yourself
Why did you stop shooting? Those were great sets you did!

johnny:
Put as simply as possible, you can't do everything at once. I think I could be at serious risk for dilettantism (a most dreaded, progressive and fatal condition), considering my left-handed Aries brain, so I just needed to focus. One of the few constants in my life has been the performing arts and cultural anthropology, so I have allowed those to plot my course. There are a million other reasons, as there always are, but primarily, I wanted to create alternate universes rather than document this one. Of course, my interests and fascinations still pour into me and fIow back out, seemingly uncontrollably - and by the time a project is ready to go, I'm usually beyond it already. Oh, and I must thank you again for your kind words - especially coming from a photographer of your caliber - you have produced some of my very favorite sets. And I assume this is not your only fascination in the universe...(??) To be continued...
Real estate - sold - and a huge weight off of me! Onto the big E. A. Poe Celebration/Seance in Baltimore (March), then Fraudulent Productions rises as Legitimate Stage to present the 20th anniversary production "DADA Returns!" in May, June July. Then, maybe some travel... Things are changing, and someting is taking its course...
Hoping to sell the commercial property by year's end, finish my new script, then off to complete my tour of Southeast Asia. Life is lovely and horrid by turns, but it's my job to make it all okay. And it's all okay!
The House Sold! That half of the long nightmare is over. And my new script is making me happy. Here's to 2010, hope it's kind to everyone!

Poe only had 7 mourners at his funeral, we had over 700! Starting with a horsedrawn hearse with bagpipes and mourners wending it's way through the streets of Baltimore... Arriving at Westminster Burial Grounds...

happy valentines day, Johnny

edmark:
I'm okay. Not a lot to tell. I'm working on drawing and painting more and more and I think I will post an image of my latest efforts in a blog soon. Enough about me, how are you? Doing better I hope, and by the sound if it, busier. That's good. I noticed you haven't been online as much lately. Miss you too!

Ladies and gentlemen, these are actual, genuine, documentary Photos from the fantastic, phenominal Weirdo Show at the uncanny, unequaled and unbelievable Palace of Wonders, created and hosted by that charming carny, the honey tongued Talker, Professor Sprocket, Talker of Renown!.

Unfortunately, I can't remember that we were ever able to connect.
Maybe some subconscious commentary on real life?

(This damn thing won't let me edit my comments!) By the way, I really like that picture of you above. it's unsettling, and as far as I'm concerned, that's all the better. Especially your maniacal smile is the highlight--very Joker-esque
