I'm in a weird place right now. Mentally, not physically, although it would be funny if I now went on to tell you about how I'm sitting in an abandoned mental institution with my computer, a peanut butter sandwich and a pitcher of cherry kool-aid.

This past week...
I spent days in anticipation.
I drove to Edmonton to visit some friends. I sing really loud...

Oh yeah! I almost forgot... Knock em' dead tonight. You'll do an awesome job. I can feel it.
kiss

surlymike:
I love how I'm now able to start thinking about details of the Albertan visit. Whoo-hoo!

Is there *any* chance that the road to Banff will be free of ice on the Saturday we're there? I would think that HolaGatita would want to see the Canadian Rockies if she could.

I've been considering a summer visit to Edmonton. Should I go? smile

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

1. I brought a bunch of cd's from home so I can listen to whatever I want. And when there are no customers, I turn it up and maybe even sing and dance a little. That's between me and the security cameras. wink
So...

I should have my schedule for next week by tomorrow (hopefully). I'll have a slightly better idea then.

Either way I still say boo Calgary!

freakpirate:
Hey... if it works. wink

Thank you! And I got your emails but I've been slow at replying these days.

Maybe it's the weather. So grey today.

I feel "off". Like something just isn't right. I wish I knew what it was so I could fix it.

I could use a good laugh.

That sounds like what I was doing the weekend before last. As the Drowsy Chaperone put it, "a general anxiety resulting from non-specific sadness. A state I call 'blue.'" It shall likely pass in time, as will the grayness and snow that I'm sure play a part.

Random Humour!
tilpacer:
Sorry, that you are feeling off. frown

....

What? You thought I was going to add to the humour buffet about? tongue

Have a great day! biggrin

Even though I am loathe to replace my last entry (because of it's awesomeness) I have a bunch of pictures that I got around to uploading! Anyone who missed it, can always go back and read it. So here we go. biggrin

I mentioned that danny_g and I went to Edmonton for glass cat's birthday, but now I have photographic proof!

misguided has some food!...

I have my sights set on the PB&J one. I'll admit that I would prefer that it be vegan, but, admittedly, I'm going to have one, anyway. biggrin
danny_g:
Brace yourself... they killed Lilly Kane. Shocking, I know. Yeah, that's all I'm saying.

I meant it, for all that was worth. What I may or may not have thought in the years since hardly seems relevant.

Very well, you asked for it--
1. Hiro
2. Peter (PETER, dammit!)
3. Claire
4. Matt
5. Mohinder
6. HRG (moved up a couple notches this week)
7. Nathan
8. Isaac
9. D.L.
10. Poor, doomed, Simone
11. Micah
12. Any characters added in season 2, even the one who didn't work out and everyone hated him so they killed him right before the finale
13. Nikki/Jessica

So many good times!

On Friday, danny_g and I drove to Edmonton for glass cat's birthday party. There was Twister! There was Guitar Hero! There was late-night drunken ordering of pizza by glass cat, who is very concise and polite on the phone while drunk. smile
We had to drive back to Calgary a mere 12 hours after arriving in Edmonton, due to danny_g's fight...

Oh man... that's true. I did say that didn't I. Well, I'll be honest, it's going to be "Boxcar" that reminds me of you for a long time.
Other suggestions... uhh... "Want"?

lavonne:
That would be awesome. You just have to bug me lots as I am forgetful.

I really do mean to update more regularly. Sometimes I even get on a roll and then... well, I get lazy. tongue

The hockey game is about to start up again so this entry will probably be fairly short. But there will be pictures! That's worth something right?

Went to a hockey game a while ago. The Flames were retiring Vernon's jersey that night so the...

Oh, my weekend was much quieter than that. I arrived home from work early on Friday because I had a severe fatigue happening that morning. Since then, aside from hanging out with HolaGatita for a chai, dinner, and a movie on Saturday night, I've been somewhat homebound. By choice, of course. tongue As much as I love travelling and socialising, isolated slackness can be *quite* enjoyable, too!

Calgary trip:
Friday, April 06
Alaska Airlines 2542
Depart: Seattle, WA at 2:47 PM
Arrive: Calgary, AB at 5:10 PM

Sunday, April 08
Alaska Airlines 668
Depart: Calgary, AB at 1:32 PM
Arrive: Seattle, WA at 2:08 PM

All we have on the agenda so far is the game and a visit to a comic book store, but, of course, food will invariably be part of the visit, as well. smile And perhaps Grindhouse, too! biggrin

danny_g:
Cool cool. Wasn't sure if that was today or tomorrow (tomorrow being kind of busy for me). Call if there's plans and whatnot.

I spent today cleaning. Yuck.
Then I took my dog for a run and it ended on this song:

i dreamt of a fever,
one that would cure me of this cold, winter set heart.
with heat to melt these frozen tears and burned with reasons
as to carry on.
into these twisted months i plunge without a light to follow
but i swear that...

I think I waste too much time. I spend more time thinking about things I should do or would like to do than actually doing them.

I'm going to try to organize my time in advance. Maybe make a list of things that I'm going to do and then do them! (That part is really the key isn't it?) One of my biggest problems is...

It's probably a combination of the two. I'm underweight and have frozen extremities.

My tattoos are pretty simple. Well, the one is. The other one I'm still finishing up in my head. I'm just not sure how it's going to work out. Or how I'm going to pay for it.

freakpirate:
No, the other two are cute. I'm just a petty thief along for the ride. tongue
