a little sad to leave ghostly, sad nawlins. I love love love the architecture. miss cj and miss casey shoed us a good time around the town. fun drinking buddies w/wire, acdc, jonathan richman, devo and devo and devo...OH HI YO!!!
a sickly drive east on US10 toward Florida. I crashed out a few times, with Nina Simone infiltrating my dreams, My Bloody Valentine, Speakerboxxx....oh Andre 3000 I'm not ready for whatever A Love Below is supposed to be. Want to like it, but can't.
So what's up w/college life? I thought about it tonight -- I quit school 8 years ago, yet travelling around the world, making music break the kidz' eardrums hasn't really made the divide that great...or I just don't feel weird being around all you 18 year olds, even if some of you are total fucking dorks!!!

At least here in Tallahassee at FSU the few kidz I dealt with were totally nice. Nothing on the folks in N.O., but what can you do? I'll refrain talking about what a bummer the show ended up being tonight and yet focus on what was really important: amazing Florida panhandle thunder storm on the way in. Deep deep Miami bass thunder rocked the van and we were blinded by wet. And then it was gone in an instant and a rainbow. FLA FLA FLA FLA. So amazing, that sound. Deeper and more earth shattering than I've heard in a while. Not since a lightning bolt struck a transformer outside my house years back. Ever hear thunder during a snow storm? Totally surreal...just thought of that.
And the other important thing: we saw the coolest little tree frog on the window of the club. he was the raddest green and sizing up this moth, his neck puffing rapidly. Was he doing that to hypnotize the moth? He certainly hypnotized the Sea and Cake, myself and Elizabeth.
I'm filthy and happy to report that I overcame 2 hangovers in a row (thanks Casey for the emergen C).
IF YOU ARE IN ST. PETE, ORLANDO, or JACKSONVILLE FUCKING COME BY AND SAY HI! If you need to get in you should email me through this page (don't leave a comment). The Sea and Cake are fun even if they're not yer cup of tea.
ok chaps, that's my final offer, Florida.
the rest of you, hehehe...xoxo

it's the most suiting i can think of (surprised you hadn't mentioned something before now)... they exist simultaneously under most circumstances
if one thing seems serene, chaos exists elsewhere
